I have been thinking lately about how truly amazing the Lord is, and how I am here and exist and make it through each day. If it weren't for God, I wouldn't be able to make it. I would have no peace, no reassurance of a life hereafter, and no good earthly relationships. I have been reading a new devotional book over the past 10 days or so entitled A Call to Die. I know what you are thinking...what kind of book is that?!?! Well, it is a book that is about how we need to die to ourselves and our flesh daily so we can truly be alive in Christ. It presents some great scripture and applications and memory verses. One of the girls in the youth group at my church wanted to read it and asked me to read it with her. It is pretty amazing seeing young people fired up for Christ. I help out with the youth group at FBC, and last night at church they wanted to keep singing praise songs. How cool is that? It got me to thinking...am I always like that?
In other news, only 15 weeks left tell Matt comes home for good! YES!!!!!! That is very exciting. We have so many fun trips planned for 2010. But while I'm waiting, I am still doing school work and hanging out with friends and family. One of my best friends, Danielle, and I are going to the Fox to see The Nutcracker! YAY! I've never seen a ballet or a musical before! I'm excited! It is our little way of celebrating Christmas together without the husbands. It should be fun! I'm so thankful for all my friends and family and church family. I am so blessed!
