Lately I've been thinking about high school and college days and how different things are now that I'm a responsible, married, adult with a career. It's weird. Where did the time go? Places have changed and I've changed, but one thing I try to keep constant is those friendships I had when I graduated from high school and college as well as new ones that I have made. I hung out with one of my best friends yesterday, and we ate lunch and then went and picked up dry cleaning as well as check on car and house insurance. I thought to myself, several years ago, we would eat lunch, go shopping, and go to a concert or something like that. Now we are doing grown up stuff when we hang out. I found it somewhat humorous. I mean it doesn't mean we don't ever do fun stuff like go to concerts or movies, but it is just different now. I've noticed the same thing with Matt. He talks with his friends about payments, school, careers, and other future stuff. Not the stuff we always used to talk about. I know that things change but sometimes it seems that even though they change some of them stay the same or are constant.
