Since I started my Ed.s in Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology, I have been getting more tech savvy, so I figured why not start a blog? It could be fun! And it is a good way for people to stay current on what is going on with Matt and me, even if we don't talk with you often or even if we do.
I am currently on fall break from teaching my wild and crazy but sometimes sweet 9th graders at Alcovy, but Matt is at some Army training at Ft. Benning. That was not cool how that schedule worked out. Nonetheless, I went and visited since I could actually visit this time. I felt like a big girl because it was the longest and the farthest I had ever driven by myself...and through Atlanta too! Yeah, I am a country girl.
Matt and I have been helping out with the youth at our church on Wednesday nights, and it has been such a blessing. We have enjoyed the rejuvenation that we receive from the songs and message, and we also receive such a huge blessing helping the young people in our church with any issues that they might be having. It also helps us stay accountable to each other and just to ourselves. We have to strive to be examples for Christ for people all around us. I realize everyday that I have to constantly lean on God to get through the day and night. I can't depend on anything else. I love the lyric in the Chris Tomlin praise song called "Indescribable" that says "You see the depths of my heart, and you love me the same. You are amazing God." YAY!!!!!
